Day 30 - Your favourite nail polish

Hmmm.... I have alot! My favorite brand is OPI. I mainly grew up on OPI so I don't really try out the Essie's and such. I did try out Chanel for a color, but I am OPI all day. Unless the color is phenomenal....

One of my all-time favorites is "Lincoln Park After Dark". I wear it all the time in the fall .

Another close one is "I'm Not Really A Waitress". Good for the holidays...

Love this color on my hands and toes in the summer time. "Coral Reef", makes anyone look super tan :]

And I am kind of loving this "You Don't Mess With OPI". I don't have it, but I'm thinking about it...

There are so many more, I don't have just one. I like to switch up the colors all the time, that's why I have so many! I would like to one day be able to have my own little polish racks, I think they all look so pretty color coordinated!

What's YOUR favorite nail polish??

Model in a Bottle review

Ok, Model in a Bottle review, yay!

I used it yesterday when I had to host a Lia Sophia party and figured it was the perfect time to test it out! It's amazing. My makeup was still on the next morning. I was so tired I just went to bed, basically said screw it to my makeup remover haha.

It's nice, you spray it 10-12 inches from your face, and wait 20 seconds before opening your eyes. It set EVERYTHING. My makeup looked flawless, airbrushed even. I touch my face alot, and with this it didn't matter because nothing moved.

It is NOT sticky at all. It kind of feels like a very, VERY thin layer of some sort of silicone over your face. Not in a bad way at all. Before you spray it, it feels like you have your normal makeup on, after you spray it, it feels like nothing is on your face at all.

Compared to MAC's fix+, I would definitely choose this one. MAC's spray always has a little stickiness on my face. And personally, their spray makes me look dewy in an, it's not an internal glow, it looks like the glow is seeping out of me. I got the Model in a Bottle formulation in matte, to try to counteract that. To each their own though!

I would highly recommend this product if you want your makeup to STAY on your face. I personally love it. Like I said, I touch my face a lot - when I got home from the party I even tried to rub off an eyebrow, not one single fleck of black on my finger. I am very impressed!

Also, don't forget, on the 24th the sale at Lia Sophia ends, a portion of the proceeds goes to Relay for Life, so get your jewelry fix and help out a great cause!

Day 28 - Your favourite drink

This is another easy one... actually, drink? or drink? Well, I guess I will tell you both :]

My favorite non-alcoholic drink is hands down Mountain Dew. I used to HATE it. I love it now, can't live without it.

My favorite alcoholic drink is citrus vodka and sprite :]
Or moscato.
Or bellinis.
Who are we kidding, the list could go on.

What am I going to do when the 30 days are over?
Maybe I'll do a haul.
I have alot of haulage.

UPDATE: re: 3 minute miracle
I woke up this morning and my hair was TAME. Like, no frizz at all. I usually have a fro going on in the am but today it was like, half straightened hair. I seriously couldn't believe it.
It wasn't styled and I looked like a Beatle, but seriously?!
I just can't believe all the time and money I've spent trying to get my hair soft and frizz free since bleaching day, and it was at Target for $3 all along.

I have a review for you guys for tomorrow on Model in a Bottle. I'd type it now, but I just finished hosting a Lia Sophia party and I am SOOOO couch bound.

Also, if any of you guys are interested in looking at the jewelry, leave me a comment or shoot me a message, I can link you right to me! Until the 24th, a portion of the proceeds is going to Relay for Life :]

Lots of love,

Day 27 - Your favourite skincare product

This one is easy.

My face doesn't like to be messed with. I got on a skincare kick after watching a lot of youtubers talk about the importance of taking care of your skin. I tried to moisturize, tone, mask it etc, and all my face did was get mad. I don't have sensitive skin, but everything I was doing to prevent things, happened. I tried it all for different skin types to no avail, so my skin was fine before, so I just have left it alone.

The one product that I really like is this...

Biore's Pore Unclogging Scrub.

I kept this one because it just makes my skin feel clean. There is no reside, no left over oils, no nothing. I love the little micro abrasion beads, it really helps with the dry skin on my forehead. I get oily on the sides of my nose, and most things I tried (for oily skin) just made it worse. This just cleans.

So, TA DA! This is the one product in my skincare routine and I use it probably 2-3 times a week. I don't need much else, and my face let me know that! Damn rebellious skin. I was just trying to make you feel better, and you go and make it look like someone sprayed my face with Pam.

I want to tag everyone AGAIN to do this 30 Days of Beauty. I'm really interested to see what everyone elses answers to the questions are. Go back to my very first 30DoB post, copy and paste it somewhere, and let's do it together. Maybe some of you will have things I want to try out :]

Day 26 - An Item from your wish list/product rave!

An item on my wishlist would have to be...

Valentino - Rock 'n Rose perfume

This stuff smells AMAZING, it's also really expensive. I'm not really a perfume girl, so I wouldn't buy it, but it is definitely on my wishlist. It would be a good gift for me :]

Also, as most of you know, I have the worst, most damaged and broken hair EVER.
I watched a lot of youtube videos on how to help repair it, and assorted hauls of hair care products. I finally picked this up...

Aussie's '3 Minute Miracle deeeep conditioner'

I have seen this in so many hauls. When I was in highschool I used their scrunch spray alot. I kind of forget about Aussie, but whatever.
First of all, I could feel the change in my hair while I rinsed. It says to leave it on for 3 minutes and 'deep think' about your day (haha), then you rinse with warm water and then cold to lock in shine. My hair is still wet, it will probably be wet until tomorrow (my hair takes forever to dry), but I feel like this may help me a little. Or alot. Let's hope for alot.
You can tell I think it's good if I am giving it 5 stars before my hair is even dry. It smells like a pina colada, very pineapple/coconut, tropical, fruity smelling. I love to feel like I'm at the beach in the shower :]

So I just touched my hair again because I am testing this by leaving my hair DOWN to dry. I never do that. Anyway, it hasn't felt this soft in a looooooong time. I'm kinda stoked!
I will be sure to post about this tomorrow when I can really see any benefits or differences in my hair!
(I can already feel it though, like I said)

Day 23 - Place where you want to live (30 Days of Beauty)

Another random question on a beauty tag... um, ok haha :]

Let's see, I want to live somewhere where there is summer and fall. I have had my life full of heavy winters. Growing up in Vermont, I've seen quite a bit of snow. I don't like it! I've put some thought into this question before, and I think I'd like Arizona, Georgia, Texas... but I hate humidity. It turns my hair into a 'fro!

I've also thought about moving to Italy to be where my father and his side of my family lives. They literally live 2 steps away from the southern most tip of Italy in Calabria. I'm Mediterranean! So are my genes :] Take a look at what they get to see everyday when they wake up...

Sellia Marina, Catanzaro Italy :]

It is a tourist attraction in the summer, but the weather never changes. It's so beautiful! But it's going to be realllllly expensive to move all my stuff there, not to mention I should probably learn more Italian! But again, I have a TON of family that lives there, some of whom I've never met, I think it would be amazing.

Great, now I want to go to the beach!

Day 21 - Your favourite lip stick

Oh this one is going to be hard!
I have a few faves, I have my go to color that goes with everything because it's "my lips only better", I'm really trying to get a good nude down for my skin tone... it is very hard for me!
If any of you have similar coloring to mine, help a girl out! Seriously...

Ok, so my "go to, MLBB" color is Spirit by MAC.
It looks very red in this picture, but if you look at MY HAUL POST, you can see a swatch. It's not really that bold :] I got this from a legit seller on eBay that I've been buying from for over a year. I don't invest my money in lipsticks. I'd rather spend it on concealer, foundation, and shadow!

Now, when hautelook.com was having their Rock&Republic blowout, I got the lipgloss in Trainwreck. Again, check my HAUL VIDEO to see the gloss and what else I picked up. But this color is perfect, it's a nice brownish color with very, very fine gold shimmer. I really hate frosty or shimmery lips on me, so obviously it isn't a shimmer gloss. Here's a pic of my new holy grail lip gloss...

You really can't see this gloss well. The picture is way too small, but you get the general idea!

So for now, this is what I'm using.
I'm not a big gloss girl, I much prefer lipsticks, so I really need your help!
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee, if you have naturally purple-ish reddish pigmented lips, and an olive/yellow complexion, let me know a good nude!
Preferably one I can use on its own without a gloss :]

Lots of Love,
XOXO M

Day 20 - Your favourite mascara (30 Days of Beauty)

Yes, I am aware that I skipped day 19. I didn't do any post but my OWWWP one, plus 19 was boring. Hahaaa.
So, I have shot to day 20. This is a good one for a BEAUTY tag. The other ones are sorta... unrelated.

I wear 2 mascaras. I put on my Maybelline Falsies in Black Drama first, and while it's still semi-wet, I put on L'oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black. It's a really good combo, try it if you have the mascaras. I use waterproof formulas in both, by the way.

Now, some may have heard that the Falsies mascara makes your eyelashes fall out. Let me just say that there was ONE woman who had an allergic reaction to the formula. DON'T go throwing out your mascara! Like all cosmetics, what doesn't work for one may work for another :]

Here are what they look like because, well, what fun is reading if there are no pictures?

Maybelline Falsies && L'Oreal Voluminous Mascaras

I hope you all are doing great, and avoiding any bad weather if it's in your neck of the woods.
Here in Southern New Hampshire, we are getting pounded with rain and wind. We are supposed to have "severe thunderstorms", but no such luck. I <3 thunderstorms :]
